If you suffer from excessive acne or even just a few pimples from time to time you know very well that not only can it cause you discomfort, it can cause you lots of unnecessary stress and anxiety. There is nothing worse than showing up for class, a date or important job interview with just one or several zits on your face or neck.

Over the years I have noticed that my acne tends to flare up under certain physical or psychological conditions. I’ve also learned that if I can control these conditions I tend to get way fewer pimples. In my case it really is “mind over matter” so without any further waiting here are my 5 quick tips for preventing pimples.

1. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep. I don’t know if you’ve ever notice this but often the time you discover a new zit is in the morning just after you get up. Furthermore, often enough these pimples appear when you’re rest deprived and only getting around 4-6 hours. Your body really needs eight hours of sleep. If you can get more sleep you should have fewer issues with acne.

2. Try to reduce your stress, tension and anxiety. Nobody is immune from having moments in their lives when they’re under serious stress. Whether it’s with your job, studies or relationship with your significant other or kids it’s easy to become stressed for days on end. Personally, I’ve found that I tend to have increased acne outbreaks when I’m stressed. Furthermore, when my mind is at ease I enjoy clearer skin. So, by treating stress you can definitely treat your pimples.

3. Exercise more. You’ve heard this a million times and I’ll repeat it myself: Get more exercise. Not only does exercise have an incredible positive impact on the mind, it helps your body to release lots of toxins which build up under the skin. When I’m exercising roughly four times per week I tend to enjoy clear skin as well.

4. Eat a balanced diet. Many skin doctors will point the blame to diet and I agree 100%. Personally, I strongly dis-like dieting. However, my skin tends to be way better when I’m avoiding fast food. In addition, I also tend to do better with my zits when I avoid food products that are pre-packaged and not fresh. So, avoiding junk food and concentrating on good nutrition is a definite must if you want to get rid of your spots.

5. Stop picking at your skin. On of the worst things you can do to make an acne flare up even worse is to start picking and squeezing it. Your fingers are dirty and have bacteria on them. By messing around with your acne you’re causing the skin to become red and inflamed. If you must squeeze your zits you’ll have to have the will power to hold off and not touch them until they’re ready to come out. This way you’ll have less inflammation and your breakout should end sooner.

I hope these suggestions and all of the suggestions here at home acne remedies .org have helped and which you clear beautiful skin!
